I asked this question at my site, which is at the top at Christian based forum, but I would love to get the answer to this question here.

Honestly, I've seen no evidence of God.
If it was'nt always presented as something to be in fear of, it
might be a more pleasant experience for the rest of us.
It's a comforting idea to think something is always there,
taking care of things, but again, I've seen no reason
to think it exsists. I don't intend to offend or ridicule
but I've never experienced anything to change my mind.
I was even once, believe it or not, a Sunday school teacher,,
briefly. All they wanted us to do was "cram" the Bible down the kids throats, no free thinking, no opinions. Just dogma.
That's not education, it's brainwashing, so I bailed out of the entire
church environment, it was smothering me.

Burrton,
I'm extremely sadden to hear that. Many churches do exactly what you just described to me. They shove down God, and Christianity down people's throats. That is totally not what Christianity is about. It's about God coming to people and allowing them to make the decision. But if you have people who do not allow God to come to people on his terms you have people that turn quickly away. I pray that you allow God back into your life. I do have another forum close to this one at: www.delphi.com/matthew1321/start.

May I ask why you are so much against God? God only want's the best for his children like I said. Is there something, that you don't understand about him, or is it just that you can't believe in something you can not see?

sorry for my language, my thumb really hurt that day, and i got really frustrated by just having to sit at home on workers compensation. I am really sorry.
I cannot believe in something that i cannot see, as i cannot see it as real. It is all seen through the eyes of someone else, it is not held at first hand so we cannot bring in other reliable evidance to prove it's truth.

Do not be fooled by my name as some others have, it is that for a reason, a character in a movie that i watched called himself the angel of death, so it took for my sig, the name came from an anime cartoon, GUNDAM, and was a Gundam Deathscythe, Hellscustom was it's final modification, so yeah.

Okay, you make some valid points on why not to believe, Don't worry about the language, I wasn't offended. Below is a true story of what I was before and what I am now. It was all made possible by God.
I've been a Christian for over 14 years now, and it's not until the last 3 years that I feel like I've really been one. See, prior to me being 100% committed to Christ, I had many troubles. For example:
ONe major trouble was I loved getting movies with a lot of sex, and nudity in them. One day it got so bad, that I broke down and started crying. I then remembered something that one of my friends had told me when I first came to Clovernook Christian Church. I remember he asked me if I was baptized or not. I said "When I was a baby" then he asked no I mean as adult through immersion. I remember thinking "That sounds freakie" so I said I wasn't interested at that time. That ended up saving me from doing something else I could of regretted. I was baptized 3 years ago this Mother's day. I ended up creating a forum called "Christian Based Forum" where I allow others to get to know Christ better. I ended up telling more people about who the God I serve. Before this, none of this was possible.

I still struggle a little with the nudity thing, but through God's help I will beat it. All this was possible because I started to get to know who God is. I'm not trying to convert you right here right now, but I'm hoping you'll just read this and think to yourself is there anyone out there that could love me 100% without judgement for who you are?

Matt

I suppose the short answer would be, 'God is life.' and 'All good comes from God'. And I mean this in a very spiritual and supernatural as well as material way. Love is life. Truth is life. Without which--In the end, there is nothing, and how much we need life that is pure to live forever! This temporary existence is a brief bubble in eternity. A time of decision, made with our lives.
If I wanted to give an example out of my life, and I have all of life to pick and choose from, I might give this one:

I say grace/pray and give thanks before every meal. When I say grace over a meal, I have noticed that in fact, my food tastes better. This is even more telling by the fact that I've forgotten to and then said it mid-meal, and it has improved matters.

Another example:

I used to be a very unemotional person, because of all the suffering in my life and my misuse of my intellect to try to order around my heart and shut it out of many decisions. God took me out of that, healed me, and gave me the ability to cry at a beautiful aria, or for children in their desperation in this death filled culture, and for the simple beauty of a rainbow given after a prayer of desperation.

He sustains me, and gives me the Bread of Life, Himself purely, each day. He brought me to find my soulmate. He touches me with growth and teaches me to walk instead of crawl in virtue. I pray someday I will fly. I am gifted beyond measure.

Those are some of the examples of God in my life.

Yours Truly,

Jeffrey Thomas
